Why Gratitude Matters in 2020

Why Gratitude Matters in 2020
Gratitude made it's way to my life in the Fall of 2019.  It wasn't that I didn't have it, but it kept resurfacing.   I was listening to some business trainings and one thing popped out to me, "Gratitude needs to be at the forefront of your mind in everything you do." So I filed that away to keep it for later.

It didn't take long for it to resurface.

I read a ton of stuff every day, from Essential Oil Desk References, to my Bible, blogs, videos, as well as some John Maxwell lately.  I've gone through quite a few videos and hear again and again, all about Gratitude.

So, I'm listening now.

Merriam-Webster defines Gratitude as "the state of being grateful: Thankfulness."  Some Synonyms would be appreciation, gratefulness, thankfulness, and appreciative.

Regardless, I felt strongly for the first time that the Lord was guiding me to claim the word "Gratitude" for the year 2020.  When I received my business planner for 2020 called "The Gameplanner", I decided to take the front inside page and wrote these words,

"With a grateful heart, I dedicate my 2020 to the Lord.  May the Lord bless those I come in contact with, with His unending love.

...All for His glory...
2 Thessalonians 1:12"

Then I decided to take my love of hymns and praise songs and use the word Gratitude as the acronym for songs to help me remember to be grateful.

G--Great is Thy Faithfulness
R--Rugged Cross
A--All--I Surrender
T--The Sweet By & By
I--In the Garden (my Dad's favorite)
T--This I Believe
U--Use Me
D--Days of Elijah
E--Every Praise

Toward the end of 2019, a dear friend posted about a Gratitude Journal that I decided would be the proverbial "icing on the cake" for my year, so I bought it and started right on January 1st, 2020.

During this time frame, I also found Gratitude Essential Oil Blend. Whoa! What an amazing oil! This blend has Balsam Canada, Frankincense, Coriander, Myrrh, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Northern Lights Black Spruce, Vetiver, Geranium.  When I looked it up, I learned,

This delightful blend is designed to elevate, soothe, and bring relief to the body while helping to foster a grateful attitude.  It is also nourishing and supportive to the skin.  The New Testament tells us that on one occasion, Christ healed 10 lepers (Luke 17:12-19), but only one returned to express his thanks.  This blend embodies the spirit of that grateful leper. When you research the oils above, you find such a wealth of information that you can't help but be grateful to the Lord for the blessing of such oils that "the leaves of the trees are for the healing of the nations." Revelations 22:2b

Join my group to learn more about these wonderful healing God given oils.  Find me on Facebook, add me as a friend, and send me a message saying, "I'd like to learn more about essential oils."

Have a wonderful day!

God Bless,
